How To Be A Ninja

For those of you who want to know how to be a ninja take the time to read this article where you will learn the magic, secrets and mysteries that have been kept in the dark for centuries upon centuries.

A ninja is a practitioner of the martial art Ninjitsu, a concept that developed from as early as AD637 in the Togakure mountains of Japan, when a warrior monk named En no Gyoja set up the Shugendo Dojo. This dojo ran for 500 years when in 1181 Heike Troops destroyed the Shugendo warriors. Diasuke Nishina who was born into the sect in 1165 was forced to run into hiding. Whilst in hiding he met Kain Doshi, a mystic warrior priest. Impressed by the mystical nature of Kain Doshi’s style, Nishina decided to adapt his own Shugendo learnings to employ this new skill. From here on in he was known as Diasuke Togakure and Ninjitsu was formed.

As you learn how to be a ninja you will become stronger, more agile, more flexible, quieter on your feet and your confidence will grow rapidly but do not become complacent. Remember you never stop learning. Look to better yourself every time you implement a technique as this is the only way you will consistently improve.

One feature of ninjitsu that other styles do not employ to great effect is the art of distraction. Using objects, tools, weapons to temporarily blind your opponent giving you an opportunity to vanish or strike an attack. This is a very important skill to develop if you really want to know how to be a ninja as it is extremely effective and for those few seconds you’re given the opportunity to do whatever you feel is necessary.

Remember, distracting your opponent can take many forms. Think about the five senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch; and exploit them. Your opponent’s vision can be impaired temporarily by kicking or throwing dust in his eyes or throwing anything else towards his eyes for that matter. If someone throws a ball at you where do you look? At the ball, right? Why? So you can either catch it or dodge it. If you throw a ball at your opponent…follow up with an immediate attack as soon as you’ve thrown the ball. This is a basic example but one that truly works.

Consider distracting your opponent with sound…throw an object into some bushes to give the impression that you are somewhere that you’re not.

Learn to tread softly. Stealth is a major part of the ninja’s arsenal. If your opponent can’t see you and you can’t be heard then you have a huge advantage. Practice around the house. Practice walking up and down the stairs without being heard. See how close you can get to your friends or family before they realise you are there. It’s a fun game and who said training couldn’t be fun?

I hope these ideas have given you some extra motivation in your quest to become a ninja. For more information on how to be a ninja have a look at this website where you can find more ways of learning how to be a ninja
